Together Again

My sweet grandmother is in heaven with my Grandaddy as of this morning. It's been a tough few months for my family to say the least. I will miss Grandmama so much, but I know that she has been ready to go since her husband died, and I'm choosing to look at her gentle, peaceful passing, only ten weeks after his, as a very clear example of God's never-failing love and mercy.

Really, we should all be so lucky.

What shall I do with all the days and hours
That must be counted ere I see thy face?
How shall I charm the interval that lowers
Between this time and that sweet time of grace?

  7. God gives us storms sometimes that we cannot understand but later we look back on and see the reason. I am praying for you and your family during this storm of life. I'm sure your Grandmother's passing was a little unexpected, but when her heart was already in heaven.....

God is still God and God is still good!

  16. Well, dangit. Except for the part about your grandmama pining after your granddaddy these last 10 weeks, and now they're together, this totally sucks. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for your loss, I'm sorry for the unexpectedness, I'm sorry that it happened now. I'm so sorry. I don't even know what else to say, dearie. :-|
    I will pray. :-)
