It's That Time Again!

I backed up all my new pictures yesterday and now it's time to remind you to do the same. If you are in the Dark Ages with me and have to do that sort of thing MANUALLY, I mean. I actually enjoy the process. I get to look back on all the photos I took in the past month - the good, the bad and the ugly, while I smile, laugh, roll my eyes or, in some cases, hide under my bed wishing I'd never allowed a camera into my house in the first place. Hee hee. And then I "accidentally" delete those particular photos. And then I back everything up to my trusty storage device on the F: drive.

Go do it. And download whatever you've got on the camera now before you start, too. Then you'll have plenty of room for pictures of all that loooooovely turkey come Thursday!

  8. Perfect example of why I still use a film camera (yes, it's lonely being the only one left!). I enjoy the surprise when I get them developed. And I enjoy having physical albums to look through. Digital pictures would most certainly remain on my computer... and if my husband were in charge, they would get tossed to the recycling plant when we traded in the computer... like my 10 GB of mP3's from college...

  11. and AGAIN i forgot!! gah. i totally need to work on that this weekend. but riddle me THIS, batman. what's the easiest way for figuring out if a file is already IN the folder? like, so i don't end up with 18 duplicates of the same picture of my dog in the same folder? i mean, sure, thumbnails, but once you scroll past the first page, you've forgotten if you've seen the pic already! :P (why yes, i DO enjoy making things harder than they actually are. why do you ask?)

  12. Make it easy on yourself, give up caring if you have duplicates. (I did!) Look at it this way... you love your little doggie. This way, you can have a whole herd of him/her to love! Whoohooo!
